At the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2022 (COP27), to be held from November 6 to 18 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, negotiators will try to develop the Glasgow Climate Pact that was agreed at COP26.

The need to drive climate action is more urgent than ever, as much of the world is experiencing severe floods, droughts and fires. Major economies are stepping up their commitment to fossil fuels, and the gap between developed and developing countries has reached a tipping point on loss and damage financing.
